Grundfos Pumps are understandably proud of the reputation they have earned for developing and producing energy efficient pump solutions that are suitable for use within a wide range of applications. Today they can add yet another official accolade to their already impressive environmental portfolio through their attainment of the coveted CEMARS (Certified Emissions Measurement and Reduction Scheme) certification.
This award is the world’s first internationally accredited greenhouse gas scheme that provides certification to ISO14064-1. It has a wide scope that looks at six known greenhouse gas emissions and is recognised by all the major economies. This means it is a real reflection of company’s willingness to fully embrace a commitment to the environment.
Andrew Ball, Water Utilities Director for Grundfos Pumps explains "Grundfos is committed to the environment and sustainability and the CEMAR accreditation reinforces this commitment and provides our customers with further confidence from a 3rd party that we live these values."
But this in itself is not an end result, as at Grundfos we plan to use this as yet another driver to help us to achieve even greater environmental savings. As a corporate citizen of the world, we believe businesses have a responsibility to act as we know businesses are directly or indirectly responsible for a major part of the CO2 emissions that are destabilising our climate. And since businesses are a big part of the problem, they should also be a big part of the solution. This is why Grundfos are fully committed to continue on their environmental journey.
